Middle of the Day Severe Weather Notes

Still no real strong thunderstorms in Alabama at the 11:30 hour. The closest big storms were near the Tennessee-Kentucky border. We are still subject to some mean weather later today especially in the Tennessee Valley where the Storm Prediction Center upgraded to “moderate risk”

TRAGEDY TO OUR NORTH:  At least 6 people dead from a tornado at Harrisburg, Illinois. Much of the town looks like Tuscaloosa after April last year.

The heart of Branson, Missouri was also hard hit with at least one fatality and, some reports, say 13 injuries.
