A few snow flurries, very cold day
With a strong upper-level trough digging in, and the cold air advection (NW winds) that was holding any snow back earlier starting to let up, a few snow showers have popped up in the cold air mass over the NE 1/4 of Alabama. A few reports of flurries, but no big deal.
With temperatures at 2,000 feet as cold as they are, we’ll have a hard time making it above the mid 30s today even with sunshine. At least the wind will back off some!
