The NWS maintains a wind advisory for Central Alabama tonight… below is the current 850 mb wind analysis for the Southeast U.S….

Note the stronger winds just off the surface are over West-Central Alabama. These are mixing down to the surface, and we have had reports of some tree and powerline damage, along with scattered power outages. Our Skywatcher in Inverness reports a peak wind gust of 46 mph tonight.

The wind will slowly die down tonight, and tomorrow will be the coldest day so far this season, with highs in the 30s.
