Trolls, Haters, and Know-It-Alls

| November 29, 2011 @ 3:26 pm

Long time blog readers know these folks show up every time snow is mentioned. Whether the forecast is right or wrong, they populate the blog like bed bugs at a bad motel. I guess it is a reflection of society, but unfortunately the time has come for anonymous comments to come to an end here.

We still welcome comments, but you will need to use a Facebook login. This, in turn, will show a real name associated with the posts. Most of the trolls, haters, and know-it-alls tend to be cowards, so there is a good chance this will chase most of them away. Not all of them, but most of them.

Again, we welcome negative comments or criticism here, but we do not allow personal attacks, profanity, hate speech, or personal weather forecasting. All opinions are welcome. But, keep it nice.

This will allow our team to focus on actually forecasting the weather instead of patrolling the blog for the trolls. Thanks for your understanding, and for being part of our blog family.
