Flash Flood Warning Issued for Lee and Russell Counties Until 5:45pm
A flash flood warning has been issued until 5:45pm for portions of Lee and Russell Counties. So far, 2-4 inches of rain has fallen in this area and between 1-2 more inches are possible this afternoon. Roads may become flooded without warning, so please be careful when driving in this area. If you are unsure of the depth of water on a roadway, turn around.

Northeastern Russell County in southeastern Alabama... * Until 545 PM CDT. * At 347 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
