Central Alabama Counties Added to the Tornado Watch

Tornado Watch 128 has been expanded to include several additional counties in both Central and North Alabama, valid until 3 AM CDT.

In Central Alabama, the watch now includes:

  • Fayette
  • Lamar
  • Pickens
  • Walker
  • Marion
  • Winston

Cities affected include: Fayette, Vernon, Aliceville, Carrollton, Jasper, Hamilton, Haleyville, and Sulligent.

In North Alabama, the watch includes:

  • Colbert
  • Franklin
  • Lauderdale
  • Lawrence
  • Cullman
  • Limestone
  • Madison
  • Morgan

Cities affected include: Florence, Muscle Shoals, Russellville, Tuscumbia, Moulton, Cullman, Athens, Huntsville, and Decatur.

Severe storms capable of damaging winds and tornadoes will continue through the early morning hours. Remain alert and have multiple ways to receive warnings.
