Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Lauderdale and Colbert Counties

Dangerous storm near Burnsville and Iuka will graze northwestern Lauderdale and Colbert Counties in Northwest Alabama.

Large hail and damaging winds are likely. A tornado is not out of the question.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northwestern Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama…
Northwestern Colbert County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 930 PM CDT.

* At 826 PM CDT, a cluster of severe thunderstorms was located over
Leedy, or 10 miles west of Iuka, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Riverton, Wright, Threet, and Waterloo.

building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for northwestern
Alabama.
