Expired – Flood Warning for Parts of Franklin & Lawrence Counties Until 11:30AM

| March 31, 2025 @ 9:32 am

Flood Warning in effect until 11:30 AM for parts of northwest Alabama, including Franklin and Lawrence counties.

We have had between three and a half to four and a half inches of rain in these areas, and flooding is already happening. This includes rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying spots that typically flood in heavy rain. The good news is that no additional rainfall is expected, but the flooding impacts will continue for a while.

Areas affected include: Russellville, Red Bay, Phil Campbell, Belgreen, Vina, Hodges, Rockwood, Isbell, Spruce Pine, Duketon, Tharptown, Little Bear Creek Reservoir, Newburg, Atwood, Mount Hope, Halltown, Nesmith, and Bankhead National Forest.

Remember—if you see a flooded road, turn around, don’t drown. Most flood deaths happen in vehicles.
