Expired – Flash Flood Warning for Portions of Morgan County Until 11:30 AM

The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a Flash Flood Warning for southern Morgan County until 11:30 AM CDT.

As of 8:19 AM, thunderstorms are dumping heavy rain across central Morgan County. 1 to 3 inches have already fallen, with another 1 to 2 inches possible. Rain is coming down at a rate of 1 to 1.5 inches per hour, and flash flooding is already happening.

HAZARD: Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

IMPACT: Flooding of creeks, streets, highways, and low-lying areas.

Areas at risk include:
Decatur
Hartselle
Redstone Arsenal
Priceville
Falkville
Somerville
Valhermoso Springs & surrounding areas
