The Alabama Weather Situation at 1:20 a.m.

Strong storms are entering Northwest Alabama early this morning.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for northwestern Lauderdale County and northwestern Colbert County until 145 a.m. The storms are just entering northwestern Lauderdale County northwest of Waterloo.

There is a tornado warning for Lawrence County TN, but the NWS in Nashville is not going to continue it. There is another tornado warning in eastern Kentucky around Pikeville.

The line of storms is capable of producing damaging winds and hail.

A tornado watch continues until 5 a.m. CDT for the northwestern quarter of Alabama.
