Weekly Drought Update: Little Change Since Last Week
The weekly drought update is out, and there was very little change since last weeks update. The area in the level 2 moderate drought remains at 1.27%, and the area in the “abnormally dry” zones has only decreased by less than 0.3%. That said, there has been no worsening in any of the levels across Alabama which is good news, and additional rain and thunderstorms this weekend and early next week should continue to result in decreasing coverage of the drought areas.
