Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect For Portions Of Northern And Western Alabama Until 12am

| March 23, 2025 @ 5:10 pm

A severe thunderstorm watch is now in effect until midnight tonight for portions of western and northwestern Alabama. This includes areas along and northwest of a line from Aliceville to Berry to Arley to Athens. Again, the main threat will be from damaging winds and large hail, but an isolated tornado is possible.

The watch could be expanded eastward pending storm evolution, but a rather sharp cutoff is expected east of the current watch where the environment will be less favorable for severe weather.
