80% Chance Of Watch Issuance Soon For Northwest Alabama Per SPC
Moments ago, the SPC issued a mesoscale discussion for a large portion of central Mississippi inro northwestern Alabama. They indicate that soon, a watch of some kind will be needed. It has not yet been determined if this will be a tornado watch or a severe thunderstorm watch, but the SPC has indicated that there is an 80% chance that a watch will be issued.
The main hazards will be from scattered instances of damaging winds and large hail, although an isolated tornado or 2 cannot be ruled out especially in central and northern MS into far western/northwestern Alabama.
