PDS Tornado Watch Coming Within The Hour For Much Of Central/Western Alabama

The SPC will be issuing a rare PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) tornado watch within the hour or most of central, northern, and western Alabama. They note that tornadoes could reach EF3-EF5 intensity this afternoon and evening, along destructive straight line winds up to 90mph, and hail up to baseball size. All preparations should be rushed to completion, with storms starting in west Alabama around 12-1pm CT.

In addition, a HIGH RISK (level 5/5) remains in effect for a large portion of central and northern Alabama. Please treat this threat today extremely seriously as this is a very volatile and dangerous situation.
