New Tornado Watch Issued for Eastern Mississippi

The NWS in Jackson has locally extended the tornado watch to include more Mississippi counties. Now, all of northern Mississippi are under a tornado watch. The yellow-shaded counties in the following graphic are currently under a tornado watch:

There is one tornado warning currently in effect in north central Mississippi, with more storms further south. These storms will work their way into the state of Alabama during the overnight hours. Stay tuned for further updates…
