PDS Tornado Watch Issued Just West Of Alabama For North Mississippi and Western Tennessee
A new tornado watch has now been issued for northern Mississippi, western Tennessee, northeastern Arkansas, southeastern Missouri, southern Illinois, and western Kentucky. This is a PDS (particularly dangerous situation) tornado watch, and is in effect until 3:00am CT. Several strong tornadoes are likely, as well as scattered hail up to tennis ball size and wind gusts up to 80mph.
Its likely that additional watches will be issued for portions of western Alabama later on tonight into early tomorrow morning.
