Update on Three Confirmed Tornadoes in Central AL From Saturday
As of a few moments ago, the NWS in Birmingham has released a public information statement about the possible tornadoes from Saturday. They can confirm that at least 3 tornadoes touched down in central Alabama, including in Lamar, Shelby, and Lowndes counties. The tornado in Lamar county was rated EF1, while the other 2 were rated EF0. No additional details are available at this time, but more information will be forthcoming as they continue to survey the damage.
