Severe T-Storm Warning for Covington Co. Until 2:15AM

The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Covington County in south central Alabama…
Northern Okaloosa County in northwestern Florida…

* Until 215 AM CST.

* At 113 AM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Heath to 15 miles northwest of Laurel Hill to 12
miles northwest of Baker, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Laurel Hill, Lockhart, Andalusia, River Falls, Florala, Heath, and
Opp.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CST for south central
Alabama…and northwestern Florida.
