Severe T-Storm Warning for Chilton, Shelby Co. Until 12:30AM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Chilton County in central Alabama…
Shelby County in central Alabama…

* Until 1230 AM CST.

* At 1116 PM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Concord to 6 miles southwest of Paul M Grist
State Park, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Hoover, Alabaster, Pelham, Helena, Leeds, Calera, Chelsea, Clanton,
Montevallo, Childersburg, Columbiana, Jemison, Wilsonville, Indian
Springs Village, Vincent, Thorsby, Harpersville, Westover,
Maplesville, and55 Wilton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CST for central, south
central and east central Alabama.
