EXPIRED – Severe T-Storm Warning for Bibb Co. Until 12AM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Bibb County in central Alabama, effective until midnight CST. At 10:45 PM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Holt to near Vaiden, moving east at 60 mph. Radar indicates wind gusts up to 60 mph, which may cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include Brent, Centreville, Vance, Woodstock, West Blocton, Lawley, Ashby, Brierfield Ironworks Park, Low Gap, West Centreville, Mertz, Talladega National Forest, Eoline, North Bibb, Randolph, Trio, Marvel, Six Mile, Bibb County Airport, and Green Pond.

Remain alert for a possible tornado, as tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado, immediately seek shelter in a basement or small central room in a sturdy building. For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 4:00 AM CST for central and west-central Alabama. Stay informed and take appropriate precautions to ensure safety.
