Severe T-Storm Warning for Mobile Co. Until 11PM

The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for west-central Mobile County in southwestern Alabama and eastern George County in southeastern Mississippi, effective until 11:00 PM CST. At 10:11 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles southwest of Lucedale, moving east at 20 mph. Radar indicates wind gusts up to 60 mph, which may cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include Lucedale.

Remain alert for a possible tornado, as tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado, immediately seek shelter in a basement or small central room in a sturdy building. For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 2:00 AM CST for southwestern Alabama and southeastern Mississippi. Stay vigilant and take the necessary precautions to stay safe.
