MERRY CHRISTMAS: And Happy Hanukkah, the weather for this joint holiday is amazing across Alabama. It is a dry day with plenty of sunshine in the sky. Highs this afternoon are ranging from the upper 50s to lower 60s. Clouds will begin to increase later today, and we could see some light rain tonight across our southwestern counties. Due to the clouds, lows tonight will be mainly in the low 40s.

THE FINAL DAYS OF 2024: Kwanzaa starts tomorrow and the weather should remain dry, but it will be mostly cloudy. On Friday, we expect some showers, and both days will feature highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s. For the weekend, the chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase as moisture levels rise. Saturday will have the higher chances for rain and highs will be in the 60s statewide Saturday and Sunday. The relatively mild weather will continue into the first half of next week as we round out 2024. Much colder weather looks to arrive as we get into the first couple of weeks of 2025.
