| November 22, 2024 @ 9:31 am

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a FREEZE WARNING for basically all of Central Alabama tonight. The only exception is in Barbour, Pike, Lee, and Russell Counties, where there is a frost advisory. For the freeze warning, It includes all counties from Montgomery to Demopolis north to Hamilton and Gadsden. Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Clanton, and Jasper are also included in this. Temperatures are expected to drop to around 31 degrees in the coldest spots. Within the frost advisory, temperatures as low as 33 degrees are expected to result in frost, but not a freeze.

There is also a freeze WATCH in effect for the remaining counties in northern AL up to the TN state line, and we expect that to be upgraded to a freeze WARNING later today.
