Rafael has now strengthened to a category 1 hurricane. Winds have been measured at 75 mph, and the pressure is now at 986 mb.

Rafael is looking more organized on satellite compared to earlier today. An eye has not yet formed, but will likely become apparent sometime tomorrow. We are still expecting Rafael to weaken once it enters the Gulf of Mexico.
