Skies are clear to mostly sunny along and south of US-80 in places like Demopolis, Selma and Auburn.
Occasional drizzle covers a wide area, including northwestern sections from the Quad Cities down into West Central Alabama, including Tuscaloosa, where GameDay was this morning. Fans braved the drizzle to show their support for today’s big game. Temperatures will stay in the 70s all day, falling into the upper 60s by game time and middle 60s by the end of the game. Westerly winds should relax to less than 5 mph during the game.
Auburn is in sunshine with partly cloudy skies for the big game with Oklahoma today. Perfect tailgating weather. The temperatures at kickoff will be around 80, remaining close to that through the game. It is fairly humid, with dewpoints around 65F. Winds out of the west and southwest will be less than 6 mph by gametime and during the game.
UAB is currently playing cloudy conditions with occasional drizzle. The Blazers are in a dogfight with the midshipmen, down 0-7 early in the second. Temperatures will remain in the lower 70s. Southwesterly winds are averaging 10 mph.
Troy is at home tonight at 6. Should be perfect weather for tailgating and game playing. Warm, with temperatures in the lower and middle 80s, falling through the 70s during the game. Light southwesterly winds.
Samford’s game at Furman has been cancelled because of the terrible impact from Helene on the Greenville, SC area. Trees are still down all over, power is out for much of the area, there is no gas and very little food. The situation is bad.
