Flood Watch Canceled for a Few Counties in Central Alabama

Jefferson, Shelby, Chilton, Autauga, and Lowndes counties in Central Alabama have been removed from the Flood Watch. The forecasted rainfall amounts have decreased, and the risk of flash flooding is now low. Any flooding that occurs is expected to be minor and confined to areas with poor drainage. As a result, the Flash Flood Watch has been canceled.

The watch remains in effect until 7am Friday for Barbour, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Elmore, Etowah, Lee, Macon, Montgomery, Pike, Randolph, Russell, St. Clair, Talladega and Tallapoosa counties in Central Alabama.
