5PM CDT Radar Update: New Flash Flood Warning Issued for Henry County; Other Warnings Ongoing

A new Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Central Henry County, AL.

Here is the information from the National Weather Service:

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Central Henry County in southeastern Alabama…

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 449 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Radar.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Abbeville, Fort Gaines, Newville, Haleburg, Willis Crossroads,
Abbeville Municipal A/P, Hardwickburg, Graball, Murphy Station,
Shorterville, Screamer, Barnes, Lawrenceville, Dancey, Miller,
Capps, Hayes, Balkum, Scottsboro Crossroads and Walter F. George
Lock And Dam.
