110pm: Major Flooding in Eufaula; Other Advisory Updates
Between 4-7″ of rain has fallen over Eufaula causing major flooding. Emergency management reporting a sinkhole has formed near the intersection of North Orange Street and Birtt Place. Law enforcement reporting all of North Randolph in the historic district and portions of West Broad Street, Cherry Street, Colmont and South Eufaula Avenue are experiencing flooding.

The Flash Flood Warning continues for Eastern Barbour County until 215pm.
* At 1116 AM CDT, Emergency Management reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain in Eufaula. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Crossroads, Lugo and Baker Hill.
A new flood advisory has been posted for Barbour County and Bullock County until 330pm. This is for an area of heavy rain stretching from Midway to Clayton.
The flood warning for parts of north central and northwest Alabama including the counties of Colbert, Cullman, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone and Morgan was allowed to expire. Flooding threat has eased. Still be careful traveling though and heed remaining road closures.
