Upgraded: Flash Flood Warning Now for Parts of Montgomery County until 8pm CDT.
As soon as I sent my last update, I got the alert of an upgrade to the Montgomery County advisory! Radar now estimating 2-4 inches of rain has fallen from this nearly stationary storm. Some of the heaviest rain has been north of Montgomery Airport and west of the city. Please be careful as you are heading out this evening.

West Central Montgomery County in south central Alabama…
* Until 800 PM CDT.
* At 616 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Southwestern Montgomery, Dannelly Field, Woodcrest and Hunter.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
