Strong Storm Over Cullman County. Small Hail and 40-50 mph winds gusts possible.

Storm packing a punch over Cullman County.  It is moving northeast along around 25 mph.  This is a part of the training line of storms that is also bringing the potential for isolated flooding. Pea size hail possible and 40-50 mph wind gusts. Note:  The NWS is denoting on chat the possibility of side lobe contamination in the southern part of that cell near Warrior.

…A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CULLMAN COUNTY THROUGH 515 PM
CDT…

At 433 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Blount Springs, or 16 miles northeast of Sumiton, moving northeast at
25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Cullman, Hanceville, Good Hope, Holly Pond, Dodge City, Baldwin,
Vinemont, West Point, Garden City, and Colony.
