Severe Thunderstorm Warning for portions of Jackson and DeKalb County

New warning for a new storm near Henagar.  It is stationary.  60 mph winds possible and very heavy rain.  Please be weather aware with all these storms cropping up this afternoon!

 

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for… Southeastern Jackson County in northeastern Alabama… Northeastern DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 200 PM CDT.

* At 127 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Henagar, or 11 miles northeast of Rainsville, and is nearly stationary.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include… Rainsville, Henagar, Sylvania, Powell, Ider, Pisgah, Dutton, Rosalie, and Sulpher Springs.
