Strong Storms Forming This Friday Afternoon

| August 30, 2024 @ 3:04 pm

Time for a radar check this Friday afternoon and we have a couple of strong storms that have popped up on opposite ends of the state.  One is drifting near the MS line and the other near the GA line.  Here is the radar snapshot.

Both storms are moving slowly to the west at only 5 mph!  Very heavy rain expected 50 mph wind gusts and pea size hail.  Quite a bit of lightning with these storms as well.

A few other storms are cropping up near Florence.

Keep your eye to the sky as you head out this afternoon and evening!
