New Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of Autauga, Chilton, Marengo, Perry, Greene, Hale and Dallas Counties until 630pm; Another warning for parts of Elmore, Macon and Tallapoosa Counties until 630pm

New warning from the NWS Birmingham and it encompasses several counties.  A line of storms from Eutaw to Akron to Oakmugee and Maplesville have the potential of producting damaging winds, and large hail.  Torrential rain fall and frequent lightning expected as well.

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Autauga County in central Alabama…
Southwestern Chilton County in central Alabama…
Northeastern Marengo County in southwestern Alabama…
Perry County in central Alabama…
Southeastern Greene County in west central Alabama…
Hale County in west central Alabama…
Central Dallas County in south central Alabama…

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 522 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Maplesville to Walden Quarters, moving
southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Prattville, Selma, Demopolis, Valley Grande, Marion, Eutaw,
Greensboro, Uniontown, Selmont-West Selmont, Autaugaville,
Maplesville, Forkland, Akron, Orrville, Newbern, Billingsley,
Faunsdale, Dayton, Bogue Chitto, and Vaiden.


Several clusters of storms continue to fire further east.  One storm is south of Dadeville and over Lake Martin. New warning for this.

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 528 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Martin Dam,
or 8 miles north of Tallassee, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Tuskegee, Tallassee, Notasulga, Milstead, Shorter, Franklin, Martin
Dam, Liberty City, Reeves Airport, Lake Tuskegee, Tallapoosa City,
Tuskegee National Forest, Victoryland, Southern Lake Martin, Still
Waters Resort, Eastern Lake Martin, Yates Dam, I 85 Rest Area, Blue
Creek Marina, and Uphapee Creek.


Other storms extend from Warriorstand to Bormville up to Uchee to Monterey Heights.

* At 505 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Beauregard,
or 8 miles southeast of Auburn, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

to roofs, siding, and trees.

and Marvyn.
