515pm CDT Look at Current Warnings – Still Quite a Few!

Watching severe areas of storms that still have the capability of producing damaging wind gusts and very large hail.

  1. Storm near Eutaw moving southeast at 30 mph.  This storm has just dropped below severe limits.  Still very strong though.
  2. Near Vance and north of Brent, severe storm moving southeast at 35 mph.
  3. Areas of storms from Alexander City to Auburn and then east to the GA line. All moving southeast at 35 mph.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Bibb County in central Alabama…

* Until 545 PM CDT.

* At 438 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Vance, or 12
miles north of Brent, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Brent, Centreville, Vance, West Blocton, Lawley, Ashby, Brierfield
Ironworks Park, Low Gap, West Centreville, Mertz, Talladega
National Forest, Eoline, North Bibb, Randolph, Trio, Six Mile, Bibb

At 452 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Wind Creek
State Park, or over Alexander City, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

At 446 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Notasulga,
moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
