New Severe Storm Heading Toward Parts of Elmore, Tallapoosa and Coosa Counties – Warning until 530pm

It is another potent storm moving out of Goodwater (which has had a history of hail) into Alexander City and Lake Martin.  New warning until 530pm.

…A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT

FOR NORTHEASTERN ELMORE…CENTRAL TALLAPOOSA AND SOUTHEASTERN COOSA

COUNTIES…

At 452 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Wind Creek

State Park, or over Alexander City, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
