Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of Tuscaloosa, Greene and Hale Counties until 515pm and for Bibb County until 545 pm

Severe storm near the Jena area moving tot he southeast at 30 mph.  Hail signature has popped on this (brighter purple) and quarter size hail a possibility.  The storms that have been firing today have had a history of producing hail along with isolated damaging winds 60-70mph +.  Please be weather aware as you are heading out this later afternoon/evening.

Other clusters of storms east from Tuscaloosa south and toward Coaling.  Possible large hail near in that storm near Coaling. Because of those storms, a new warning has been hoisted for Bibb County until 545pm.

* At 433 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Jena, or 13
miles southwest of Northport, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* At 438 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Vance, or 12
miles north of Brent, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
