Debby at 1:15 a.m.: Convection Really Increasing
Debby is responding to the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the favorable environmental conditions tonight.
The infrared satellite shows increasing convection near the center.
The Hurricane Hunters will be into the storm around sunrise to see if it is better organized and strengthening. I think they will find it is both.
We will have continual updates today and Monday as Debby moves toward landfall and on Tuesday and Wednesday and late in the week as its eventual fate is decided.
