Alabama Power crews have been hard at work assisting with power restoration efforts in Texas in the wake of Hurricane Beryl.

Alabama Power worked with host power company CenterPoint Energy and other crews to restore nearly 1 million customers in the Houston area Wednesday, with about 1.2 million left to restore.

Hurricane Beryl made landfall in Texas Monday and on Tuesday, Alabama Power dispatched a 350-person storm team to Houston, including 300 resident contractors.
