Heat Advisories Through Tomorrow Evening for Central Alabama

The Weather Service in Birmingham has extended the heat advisory in time and area, making it effective through Monday evening for their counties in Central Alabama.

From Mary Kaiser at the NWS Birmingham:

We’re going to keep a Heat Advisory going through Monday evening for the southeast, and add in basically the southwestern half of the area. Heat indices are expected to hover around 106 in many areas, and lows overnight will struggle to reach low 70s in many places. Triple digit heat indices this afternoon and Monday afternoon, with indices in the upper 70s for most of the night.
