Alabama Update at 115 pm: Severe Storms NE Alabama; Scattered Storms Elsewhere

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for parts of Jackson, DeKalb, and Marshall counties.

Severe storm is over northern part of lake Guntersville between Langston and Albertville. The storms are moving southeast toward Collinsville.

Other strong storms are over Northwest Alabama in Franklin, Colbert, and Lawrence Counties. These storms are approaching Russellville and Phil Campbell.

Along I-20 East of Birmingham, strong storms over Lake Logan Martin. Be alert if you are on the lake. Move to safe shelter from the lightning.

Along US-280 strong storms near Childersburg and Talladega Springs.

The stronger storms will have gusty winds, lots of lightning, and heavy rain. The severe storms could have damaging winds.
