Jefferson County Warning

Strong storms moving through the western part of the Birmingham Metro will affect much of the rest of the Metro through 4:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Central Jefferson County in central Alabama…

* Until 415 PM CDT.

* At 329 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Sylvan
Springs, or 7 miles northwest of Hueytown, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Birmingham, Vestavia Hills, Bessemer, Homewood, Mountain Brook,
Hueytown, Gardendale, Irondale, Fairfield, Fultondale, Center
Point, Pleasant Grove, Pinson, Tarrant, Midfield, Adamsville,
Brighton, Lipscomb, Graysville, and Morris.
