EXPIRED Tornado Warning — Parts of Colbert, Franklin Co. Until 7:45 pm

### Tornado Warning Issued

The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama, has issued a Tornado Warning.

At 7:10 PM CDT, a tornado-producing storm was located 7 miles southwest of Belgreen, or 11 miles east of Red Bay, moving northeast at 55 mph.

**Hazard:** Damaging tornado.
**Source:** Radar confirmed tornado.
**Impact:** Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

**Counties Affected:**

– South central Colbert County in northwestern Alabama
– Eastern Franklin County in northwestern Alabama

**Remains in effect until 7:45 PM CDT.**

**Locations Impacted:**

– Belgreen around 7:15 PM CDT
– Russellville around 7:20 PM CDT
– Littleville around 7:30 PM CDT

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include New Bethel, Crooked Oak, Rockwood, Little Bear Creek Reservoir, Isbell, Tharptown, and Cedar Creek Reservoir.

**Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:**

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
