Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Southeast Alabama Until 9 p.m.

| May 27, 2024 @ 1:25 pm

Areas from Auburn down to Eufaula are under a new severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m.

Lots of instability and increasing westerly flow leading to increasing effective bulk shear will cause storms to intensify this afternoon over the southeastern third of Alabama.

Storms are already strong in the I-85 Corridor from Tuskegee to Auburn to Smiths Station.

Other storms are growing in Barbour, Dale, Henry, and Houston.
