The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama, has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the following counties:

Lauderdale County
Colbert County
Franklin County
This warning remains in effect until 2:45 AM CDT.

Current Situation
At 1:48 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were detected along a line extending from near Savannah to 6 miles north of Hinkle to near Snow Lake Shores, moving southeast at 40 mph. These storms are capable of producing:

Hazard:
60 mph wind gusts
Quarter-size hail
