EXPIRED Severe Thunderstorm Warning — Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Morgan Co. Until 2:15 am

The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for several counties in north Alabama. The affected areas include:

South central Limestone County
Southeastern Colbert County
Northeastern Franklin County
Western Morgan County
Lawrence County

This warning is in effect until 2:15 AM CDT.

As of 1:30 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Russellville, moving east at 50 mph. The storm is expected to bring 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail, based on radar indications. These conditions can cause significant damage, including hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
