EXPIRED Severe Thunderstorm Warning — Jackson, Limestone, Madison Until 2:30 am

The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for several areas in north Alabama and southern Tennessee. The warning includes:

Western Jackson County in northeastern Alabama
Madison County in north central Alabama
Limestone County in north central Alabama
Southeastern Lincoln County in Middle Tennessee
Southwestern Franklin County in Middle Tennessee
This warning is in effect until 2:30 AM CDT.

As of 1:28 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Athens, moving east at 40 mph. This storm is bringing significant hazards, including 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail, as indicated by radar. These conditions are expected to cause hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
