Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Parts of Tuscaloosa, Bibb, and Hale Counties

Hail core just west of Duncanville in southern Tuscaloosa County. Could produce hail to the size of quarters.

Be alert for very heavy rain, and wind gusts to 60 mph.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
South central Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama…
Northeastern Hale County in west central Alabama…
Southwestern Bibb County in central Alabama…

* Until 445 PM CDT.

* At 415 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Shelton State
Community College, or 7 miles south of Tuscaloosa, moving southeast
at 30 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Southern Tuscaloosa, Moundville, Coaling, Vance, Low Gap, Mertz,
McFarland Mall, Shelton State Community College, Englewood, Little
Sandy, Maxwell, Taylorville, Hull, Hagler, Duncanville, Pearson,
Harmon, and Stillman College.
