Excessive Rainfall Threat Monday and Tuesday

| May 12, 2024 @ 2:48 pm

Heavy rainfall amounts are forecast to fall across Texas and Louisiana today and tonight. The threat will shift eastward on Monday, spreading as far east as southwestern Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.

The NWS in Mobile and other offices have issued flood watches for the affected areas.

Rainfall amounts could exceed 5 inches over southwestern Alabama between now and noon Tuesday.

We are not expecting flooding in North or Central Alabama as rainfall amounts will taper off to the north.
