Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Marshall, DeKalb, and Jackson Counties

Intensifying storm near Langston will move northeast toward Section, Dutton, and Pisgah.

A tornado watch is in effect for the area. While this storm doesn’t appear to support a tornado, the tornado threat will increase as we go deeper into the evening.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northeastern Marshall County in northeastern Alabama…
Central Jackson County in northeastern Alabama…
Central DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 745 PM CDT.

* At 658 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest
of Section, or 9 miles south of Scottsboro, moving northeast at 25
mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Scottsboro, Rainsville, Henagar, Sylvania, Hollywood, Powell,
Section, Ider, Pisgah, and Dutton.
