Extremely Strong Winds over Clarke and Monroe Counties Moving into Wilcox

Doppler radar is indicating winds in excess of 85 knots at 5,000 feet over eastern Clarke County moving into Monroe County as this hour. Considerable damage and winds to 70 mph and a spin up tornado are possible.

Beatrice and Monroeville are in the path of the storm.

Tornado threat will increase in the warm sector as it moves eastward across southern Alabama and the Florida Panhandle through the early morning hours.
